A reference has already been filed against a Minister of the Musharraf Government. But this new evidence will blow away all its claims. An in-house whistle-blower has revealed how the millions were looted and why the Chief Executive kept silent, trying to brush everything under the carpet.
The Science Ministry is spending millions of dollars just to retain a space satellite spot for Pakistan. In the mad rush, not even its insurance was covered by the suppliers. The project was pushed in a commando style, telling General Musharraf if Pakistan did not buy the satellite, Indians would grab its space. Read with all the Documents.
The poor, powerless consumers of power, electric power, have to pay ever-increasing rates no matter if the company they are paying is making huge profits or running into losses. This report gives all the documents to show how mismanagement is causing costs to rise which are quietly and without any qualms, passed on to the consumers, who have to pay, through their nose at times. Has anyone counted how many Pakistani officials and diplomats, civilian and in uniform, refused to return to Pakistan after completing their posting in US? A quick count popped up embarrassing numbers. SA Tribune decided to get a full count with all the names and how these people are doing now.

Panic and More Panic in Govt Dear Readers: It has been sheer panic season in Islamabad for the Musharraf regime. As pressure mounted to call the session of the newly elected Parliament, panic grew, to the extent that the once very proud and arrogant General, and his commando outfits, were last week begging prisoner Asif Ali Zardari for a deal. His King's Party, led by the Choudhries of Gujrat, was also in disarray as a Balochistan leader Mir Zafarullah Jamali was named as party's candidate for Prime Minister's slot. Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif further compounded the panic by announcing support for MMA's Maulana Fazlur Rehman, through the ARD. At another level panic was evident in the Information set up of the government when ill-considered ads were released to all newspapers containing an open warning that if they reprinted any material from South Asia Tribune, they would be prosecuted under the new Defamation laws. The ads produced a universal response, laughs and condemnation, as never before had any government acted so amateurishly and stupidly to media reports. How can every newspaper be asked not to publish anything printed by a foreign-based Web newspaper, specially when solid evidence was also being provided. So far this evidence has resulted in two references against Musharraf's ministers and many more scandals are likely to be confirmed as the politicians take over the government. For our readers, it is time for most of our reports and investigative pieces to be proved authentic. We will produce evidence next week against Agriculture Minister Junejo. Railways Minister Javed Qazi is already losing his race for Senate. We are producing evidence against him by a respected former Finance Minister this week. For Musharraf the trouble has not yet begun. Let the Assembly hold its session and let him go there without conceding their demands and face the elected reps. No one had such a formidable Opposition in the past as he has. Only then he will know what "Go Baba Go" means. As a Commando, he should better be prepared. Take Care, Shaheen Sehbai
